72. Pindo Palm

This attractive palm has green or blue-gray feather-like (as opposed to fan-like) long arching leaves. Trunks may be as much as 10-15 feet tall . Often seen in Lower South landscapes, it is native to Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina and is probably the most cold-hardy of the feather leaf palms. It produces large clusters of edible plum-like fruits. Also known as Jelly Palm.
